Fanfare is an evergreen keyword and one of the most prevalent keywords in Shadowverse. Fanfare abilities activate when the card is played directly from the player's hand. Only Followers and Amulets can have this keyword.

Details

• Fanfare abilities do not activate if the card is Invoked, Reanimated, or otherwise brought into play by another card effect. For example, General Maximus will summon followers from your deck into play, but any Fanfare effects those followers might have will not activate.
• If a card is played with its Enhance cost, its Fanfare abilities outside the Enhance abilities will still activate unless the Enhance effect specifically replaces them.
• Enhances are not considered Fanfares and thus will not have any particular interactions with Loki or Dragon Queen's Castle.

Shadowverse EVOLVE

In the Shadowverse: EVOLVE physical card game, Fanfare effects activate whenever the card is put onto the field, not only when it's played from the hand, unless otherwise stated.
