Rotation is a game mode in Shadowverse and Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond where players can only build decks using cards from the latest card expansions as well as most Basic cards.

Shadowverse

It was added in 2017, only allowing cards from the latest five card expansions as well as Basic cards.

Rotation will be added to ranked matches, providing a new format to play in addition to the current Unlimited format. Players' rank, score, and Master Points will be copied over to Rotation. Following this, points will be accumulated separately for Unlimited and Rotation.

Accumulated score rewards can be claimed by using and combining points earned from both Rotation and Unlimited.

Players can become Grand Masters in both Rotation and/or Unlimited. Grand Master rewards can be claimed once per season for each format.

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond

It was added in 2026, only allowing cards from the latest six card expansions as well as Basic cards.

It was added to ranked matches, in addition to Unlimited and Boundless formats. Up to 36 decks may be created and saved for each format.

Ranks will be shared between Rotation and Unlimited, and will be determined by rank points and master points accumulated in both formats. Players will be able to earn rewards each season for accumulating master points. Rankings will be determined and displayed separately for Rotation and Unlimited based on the points players gained in each format, and they will receive rewards based on their final rankings.

Groups and class ratings will be calculated separately for Rotation and Unlimited.

Player rankings will be determined and displayed separately for Rotation and Unlimited in regard to the "ranked match," "ranked wins by class," and "class rating" categories.
