Crystallize is an evergreen keyword introduced in Verdant Conflict. A follower with Crystallize can be played earlier as an amulet with a different effect by paying its Crystallize cost instead of the card's cost.

Crystallize followers are vastly present among Havencraft, the class with the highest amount of amulet support, with other classes are very little access to it.

Details

• Crystallize costs are always lower than the card's cost.
• Like Accelerate, Crystallize can only be done if the available play points are less than the original cost of the Crystallize follower. Otherwise, the card is played as a follower.
• Crystallize followers played as amulets are only treated as such while on the field. Any effect that would interact with amulets in the hand or deck will not affect Crystallize.
• Creating/Returning an amulet created by a Crystallize follower to the hand will not return it to being a follower and it will remain an amulet.
